About
Roger Boulay’s artistic practice ranges from altered books to series of large-format photographs. He is interested in how recontextualized and remixed images can expose untold, obscured stories and reconsider widely accepted social and cultural frameworks. Boulay is an Associate Professor of Art at Winona State University. He has exhibited his work nationally, including solo exhibitions at the Rochester Art Center (Rochester MN), Augsburg College (Minneapolis, MN), Sinclair College (Dayton, OH), the University of Rochester (Rochester, NY) and at Gallery 19 (Chicago, IL). He is currently an artist in residence at Les Parcelles, near Quebec City, Canada. Roger Boulay grew up in southeastern Massachusetts and now lives and works in southeastern Minnesota. He draws with his left hand and bats from the right.
